ABOUT
Hello! I am Vilja (she/they/he), an artist and fashion student from the North of Finland! My life revolves around art and creativity, in its many forms. Whether it is as a digital artist, a fashion designer or a fangirl, I strive to give people a bit of a playful spark of colorful joy!
As a queer, neurodivergent person, it is important for me to create an inspiring, exciting and accepting environment for everyone. And at the same time, I am building a life for myself that is both sustainable for me and the environment around me. While in many ways I am limited by my ADHD and autistic traits, it has also gifted me with a strong passion and love for what I do.
As an artist and a fashion designer, my works are an extension of me. I love creating clothing that will be loved and used for as long as possible. In many of my fashion projects I have used and will continue to use materials from already used items, such as fabric from ripped clothing, curtains, and even bedsheets! In addition to it being more environmentally (and financially) friendly, the possibilities that unique and not as widely available materials bring, are inspiring! I of course love fixing broken items and bringing a new life to them as well.
Not everything needs to be created new in order to be lovable.
With visual arts, I mainly create digital art, that I can then turn into print products, printing my art into the physical world as well. My most popular items have always been stickers, though my newfound love for designing and making fabric patches has been widely loved as well.
